PAC Activities & Parent Volunteers

Popcorn Fridays (Friday 9am – 11:15am)

If you’re looking for some Friday fun and would like to help pop up a few bags of popcorn, this is the job for you!

Book Fairs

The Scholastic Book Fair (English and French) is held in the library 2 or 3 times a year and raises money for new library books.  Volunteers help with book sales at lunch or after school.

Hot Lunch Program (Tuesday 11am – 12:15pm)

Does your child love Hot Lunch Tuesdays?  It takes a village to make it happen!  We’re looking for volunteers to help distribute food.  Fun Fact:  The Hot Lunch Program not only provides your child with a great lunch (and you with a break from making lunch), but also raises money for key activities such as Grade 7 Grad, French enrichment and more.

Crosswalk Supervision

Help keep our students safe before and after school.  We need adult volunteers to supervise our student crossing guards. Shifts are 8:45-9am or 2:55-3:10pm.

Fruit and Veggie Program

The BC School Fruit and Vegetable Nutritional program provides fresh fruit and vegetable snacks to public and First Nations schools throughout BC. Volunteers are needed to help out 1 or 2 times per month on Wednesdays or Thursdays to distribute fresh produce and milk to classrooms.

Holiday Market (Late November or Early December)

An annual tradition at the school gym where we bring our community vendors to showcase their products and services for the holiday season. Parents start on holiday shopping while children play holiday themed games.  Volunteers are needed to sell tickets, host games, concession, setup holiday decorations and do arts and crafts with children.

Jingle Bell Walk (Mid December)

Parent drivers accompany children as they collect food for the food bank, and pack the food into boxes.

Pancake Breakfast (Last day of class before start of Winter break)

Cook or serve pancakes to the students. A special guest appears to spread holiday cheer for the school. A separate volunteer notice will be sent for this event the first week of December.

Spirit Day (Late April)

Spirit Day is a one-day conference for Seaforth students where Seaforth students participate in activities/classes with community members.  Your child can see the inside of a police car, learn karate or participate in an Amazing Race!

Sports Day (May)

Volunteers help with the event and running the concession.
